Wine Tasting @ the Bottle Shop

April 19 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm

La Vieille Ferm Rosé, Southern Rhone, FR 2017

(Cinsault/Grenache/Syrah)

This 2017 vintage will be remembered as the year of all records: the driest year in 30 years, non-interventionist vineyard work, optimal harvest conditions, a very small yield due to climatic hazards, and wines with very rich potential.

Pretty pale pink color with pastel undertones. Fresh and very aromatic on the nose, this wine has a delicate bouquet with notes of red fruit(currants, cherries), and citrus. Good balance between sweetness and acidity in the mouth. We find notes of fresh fruit with beautiful persistence. This 2017 wine is fresh and balanced, a expression of this beautiful fruity vintage.

La Vieille Ferm Blanc, Southern Rhone, FR 2016

(Bourboulene/Grenache Blanc/Ugni Blanc/Vermentino)

The 2016 vintage in the Southern Rhone valley is exceptional, both in terms of quality and quantity, thanks to idyllic weather conditions that protected the region from climatic accidents throughout the whole year.

Beautiful pale yellow color, shiny green undertones. The bouquet is delicate white-flesh fruit, citrus fruit and spring flowers, fresh with an attractive aromatic intensity. The mouth is full of freshness, rich with mineral acidity, the final is aromatic and mouth-watering. This 2016 is expressive and has a lot of balance.

La Vieille Ferm Rouge, Southern Rhone, FR 2016

(Carignan/Cinsault/Grenache/Syrah)

Pretty red color with purple reflections. With lots of freshness, this 2016 vintage is the archetype of a wine that gives pleasure: authentic, sincere and tasty. It has notes of red and black fruit (Blackberry, blackcurrant), Rich and spicy. The mouth is fruity and full-bodied boosting the taste buds. Balanced, crisp, with silky tannins, the final has a beautiful aromatic persistence.

Napa Valley is ideally positioned between two mountain ranges to the east and to the west: the Vaca and the Mayacamas. Within the valley, grape character and flavor are unique expressions of the diverse soil types and microclimates. We hand select lots from this rich array of outstanding fruit, including vineyards within the Rutherford appellation, to craft Two Range Red Wine, a delicious and complex blend that captures the essence of this World-renowned wine growing region.

Rutherford Ranch “Two Range” Red Wine, Napa Valley, CA 2015

(Merlot/Cabernet Sauvignon/Pinot Noir/ Petit Verdot)

The 2015 growing season began with unseasonably warm winter and spring temperatures across Napa Valley. Soils began to warm up quickly, which initiated an early bud break. Colder temperatures then followed, creating a smaller crop than previous years as winemakers prepared for harvest. Picking began in early August, proving to be one of the earliest harvests Napa Valley has ever seen. Across the valley, winemakers were happy to report the outstanding quality and great fruit concentration produced by the early harvest.

Pair our Two Range Red Wine with a lamb tagine, vegetarian lasagna or a dark chocolate soufflé.

Aromatic spices coupled with raspberry aromas, alongside fresh cranberry, dark chocolate and caramel flavors. Rich tannins lead to a full bodied wine with a long finish.

Sharing is caring!
